In exploring couples’ non-violent communication (NVC), the authors have developed the "Non-Violent Relationship Questionnaire (NVRQ)." The following eight communication variables are described: non-threatening, respect, honesty, parenting together (if applicable), equal responsibility, economic partners, fairness, and trust. Key components of Rosenberg’s non-violent communication are also presented. The article concludes with an inspirational quote by Arun Gandhi, grandson of India’s legendary M. K. Gandhi.
