The Family Journal Reader Interests: An Internet Survey

Kaye W. Nelson

Patrisha K. Livingston

Texas A & M University–Corpus Christi

An Internet-based survey was completed with members of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC) regarding their interests in topics and sections published in The Family Journal. In addition, the survey addressed future reading preferences of respondents. The results confirmed the stated mission of the journal, including the practice-orientation of IAMFC readers, past editorial directions, and conclusions from a recent content analysis. Based on the findings, the editorial team hopes to solicit additional manuscripts concerned with adolescents, addiction, sexual issues, healthy marriage, grief, and supervision.
