Functional Family Therapy: An Interview With Dr. James Alexander

This article presents the functional family therapy of James Alexander, focusing on his work with high risk, youth who are high risk, delinquent, and who abuse substances. The interview addresses evidencebased interventions, individualizing treatment, and prevention of violence. Training efforts and recent developments in functional family therapy are discussed.
