How Personal Should Supervison Be?

Charles H. Huber

Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology, New Mexico State University, Box 30001, Department 3CEP, Las Cruces, NM 88003-0001.

The section on supervision (Section VII) of the Ethical Code for the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC, 1993) offers general direction regarding supervisor/counselor-supervisee dual relationships. A recent article from the family counseling literature provides a schema for more specific direction, thus enhancing the IAMFC code.
