Included are studies investigating the efficacy of Adlerian and behavioral programs as well as parent effectiveness training. The review encompasses the published literature since 1974 and includes only those studies that are quantitative in nature. An integration of the research is provided in terms of effects on parental attitudes, perceptions, and behavior as well as effects on children.
