Clinical Issues in Working with Dual-Career Couples: Implications for Counselorscounselor education at The Ohio State University, Arps Hall, 1945 North High St., Columbus, OH 43210-1172.
Ohio University, Athens. Dual-career couples represent a rapidly growing segment of the population of partners in the United States. These couples increasingly seek assistance from counselors in negotiating the particular stressors that arise from the dual-career lifestyle. In this article, common stressors facing dual-career couples are discussed. Implications for clinicians are drawn, and suggestions are made to assist counselors working with these couples.
