The Tie that Blinds: Understanding Intergenerational Conflict within a Moral Development Framework

This article presents a moral development framework for understanding intergenerational conflict, specifically that of adult child and aging parent. Carol Gilligan's theory of moral development is used to assess adult child and parent moral reasoning level and its impact on intergenerational conflict.
