Menopause: A Life Cycle Transition

Menopause is an issue that family therapists need to address proactively to be of benefit to couples andfamilies during this transitional period in the family life cycle. This article provides background on the physical, psychological and psychosocial factors affecting the menopausal woman and herfamily and describes ways to address issues arising from these factors in counseling.
