Counseling and Treating Adolescents With Alcohol and Other Substance Use Problems and Their Families

The purpose of this study is to examine the components and strategies of counseling and treating adolescents with alcohol and other substance use problems. The study examines the patterns and risk and resistance factors of adolescents with substance use problems and how to assess and diagnose adolescents with substance use problems and comorbid psychiatric and social problems. The study also examines designing intervention and treatment programs for these adolescents, including working with their families and working with resistant adolescents.
